Financial and Insurance

Orthodontic treatment is an excellent investment in the overall dental, medical, and psychological well being of children and adults. It is our mission to provide you with affordable, high-quality treatment that fits your budget! Fees vary depending on the length and complexity of treatment. We will make this investment more affordable by arranging a payment plan that is comfortable for you. We have multiple financing options available, including several with no interest. For those who still cannot afford orthodontics, Dr. Halvorsen is a provider for Smiles Change Lives, providing pro-bono braces. Dr. Halvorsen does not want finances to stand in the way of our mission of creating a healthy and beautiful smile.

What is Included in Your Investment?

In a word, everything. During the course of orthodontic treatment, many types of services are performed. Different ways exist, therefore, to structure orthodontic fees. It has been our experience that patients and parents appreciate knowing the "bottom line" up front. Therefore, the fee presented is comprehensive, and includes everything done at our office to achieve and maintain a beautiful smile and a healthy bite. This usually spans 4 to 5 years and typically includes: diagnostic records, all appliances, all office visits including emergencies, any radiographs, retainers and retainer follow-ups. If early or interceptive treatment is indicated, the fee is likewise all inclusive, but a new fee will be assessed if and when comprehensive orthodontic treatment is necessary later.

What is Not included?

Your investment does not include any work done at any other dental practice. It does not include extractions, periodontal procedures, surgery, or general dental care. There is a lab fee to replace lost or broken retainers.

Insurance

If your insurance covers orthodontic treatment, you will receive the benefit of reduced personal costs. Many insurance policies have a lifetime orthodontic benefit that is distinct from regular dental insurance. Remember that insurance policies vary, and we will review your insurance to determine the appropriate course of action. Once treatment has started, we will file your claims

Please remember that orthodontic insurance is a benefit for you or your child. If, during the course of treatment, your benefits change, the estimated amount not yet paid by your insurance company becomes your obligation.

Please take advantage of our insurance specialist , who will help you to maximize your insurance and flexible spending benefits.
